MAVERICK MOVIE AWARDS FEATURE FILM DISTRIBUTION PRIZE and BEST PICTURE PRIZE NONNEGOTIABLE TERMS AND CONDITIONS

MMA FEATURE FILM DISTRIBUTION PRIZE TERMS AND CONDITIONS: To avoid a conflict of interests between the Maverick Movie Awards and MTI Home Video, this prize will NOT necessarily be given to the winning recipient of any specific award in the feature-length category but is instead open to each and every winner AND nominee in the feature-length category. A representative or agent of MTI Home Video will select the actual prizewinner. MTI Home Video will offer one (1) feature-length MMA winner OR nominee (selected from the final list of every feature-film nominated for a Maverick Award from all award categories) a fair and equitable, profit-sharing DVD and/or Blu-ray and/or Television and/or “Pay-Per-View” and/or “On-Demand” and/or Online and/or other applicable domestic and/or worldwide distribution deal. Prizewinner is not obligated or compelled to accept distribution through MTI Home Video. To claim this prize, the prizewinner must agree to all of the terms, conditions, and deliverable requirements contractually set forth by MTI Home Video. Said terms, conditions, and deliverable requirements are “industry standard” and will be detailed in a multi-page contract; therefore, neither the MMA or MTI Home Video will provide complete, partial, overview, and/or summary contract language prior to prizewinner selection. Please note that said forthcoming written agreement between the prizewinner and MTI Home Video will be negotiable; however, any acceptance of requests for contractual amendments will be at the sole discretion of MTI Home Video. The Feature Film Distribution Prize is nontransferable, except at the discretion of MTI Home Video. MMA DISCLAIMER: Excluding initial e-mail notifications and/or introductions, the Maverick Movie Awards will NOT broker or “middleman” dealings between the prizewinner and MTI Home Video. This Feature Film Distribution Prize does not constitute or imply a partnership between the Maverick Movie Awards and MTI Home Video. MMA BEST PICTURE PRIZE TERMS AND CONDITIONS: The Best Picture Prize is a free “one (1) week rental” of a HD camera and accessories package NOT a give-away for ownership of a HD camera and accessories package. A Best Picture Prize will be awarded to the submitter of the Best Picture winner in the feature-length category AND the submitter of the Best Picture winner in the short-length category for two (2) total prizes. (Note: ALL student-made movies are also eligible for Best Picture in the feature-length and short-length categories.) The Best Picture Prize is nontransferable. Best Picture Prize winner selection(s) will be at the sole discretion of the Maverick Movie Awards’ directors and/or selection committee and these decisions will be final. Prizewinners are not obligated or compelled to accept; however, prize must be accepted within six (6) months of award notification date or it will, without exception or notice, be void and abandoned. By submitting to the Maverick Movie Awards, you, the moviemaker, controlling company, and/or submitter agrees that he/she has the right and authority to submit and has read and fully understands all of the prize terms and conditions, the submission guidelines, and all of the terms and conditions of the Maverick Movie Awards. BEST PICTURE PRIZE VENDOR TERMS AND CONDITIONS ADDENDUM: Scheduling subject to vendor approval and equipment availability; equipment brand(s) at the discretion of vendor; final equipment list may vary slightly from equipment list promoted by the Maverick Movie Awards; winning moviemaker(s) must pass vendor’s credit check and provide proof of valid production insurance; if winning moviemaker(s) is unable to pick-up/drop off equipment from vendor, winning moviemaker(s) is responsible for all shipping costs associated with receiving and return of equipment via vendor-approved freight carrier with verifiable tracking and shipping insurance.
